The Maltings shopping centre is located in the picturesque market town of Uttoxeter, which is situated within eastern Staffordshire, part of the West Midlands region of England. The centre services the retail requirements of the town’s current population of around 12,000 and a high volume of visitors, drawn in from the surrounding areas. Uttoxeter lies close to the River Dove and is located near to the cities of Stoke-on-Trent, Burton-on-Trent , Derby and Lichfield. It is twinned with Raisdorf in Germany (with whom close links are still maintained), and Fumel in France.
The Maltings Shopping Centre takes its name from the large Maltings Brewery, which stood in this area of the town until the 1960s.
The Maltings is home to more than twenty-five stores including supermarkets, greengrocers, a bakery, clothing and shoe stores. There's also a record shop, an electrical store and a car accessories outlet along with the Island Cafe that offers home-made meals to name but a few.
